Frédéric Blaimont réalise son premier tableau à l’huile à 12 ans. Après un parcours scolaire chaotique et un bégaiement surmonté, il obtient un CAP de peintre décorateur. En 1966, après une préparation à l’atelier Met de Penningen, il intègre les Arts déco de Paris. Encouragé par Jean Picard-Ledoux, l’un de ses professeurs, il complète sa formation à la Kunstgewerbeschule de Bâle, école influencée par le Bauhaus. Dans les années 1970, il entame une carrière dans la publicité et l’enseignement des arts graphiques. Depuis 2007, il se consacre exclusivement à la peinture. Membre et lauréat de la Fondation Taylor, Frédéric Blaimont expose en France et à l’étranger.

Frédéric Blaimont painted his first oil picture at the age of 12. After a chaotic school career and overcoming a stammer, he obtained a CAP in decorative painting. In 1966, after training at the Met de Penningen studio, he entered the Arts déco in Paris. Encouraged by Jean Picard-Ledoux, one of his teachers, he completed his training at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Basel, a school influenced by the Bauhaus. In the 1970s, he began a career in advertising and teaching graphic arts. Since 2007, he has devoted himself exclusively to painting. A member and laureate of the Taylor Foundation, Frédéric Blaimont exhibits in France and abroad.
