Née à Leuven en Belgique, autrice-illustratrice de livres pour la jeunesse depuis plus de trente ans, Isabelle Bonameau Lemordan est également photographe plasticienne, artiste et musicienne. Autodidacte et portée par le désir de raconter, elle va où son coeur la mène et vit à Paris. « En 2017, je débutais un travail sur la mémoire intitulé Dans la famille enchantée, je demande... Il s’agit d’une tentative introspective de réécriture, de réinterprétation et de réappropriation de mon histoire personnelle et de celle de ma famille. Au début, le travail était essentiellement photographique, puis la démarche a tout naturellement migré vers quelque-chose de plus pictural, à la frontière entre photographie et peinture. C’est ce travail que j’aimerais vous présenter. »

Self-taught and driven by a desire to tell stories, she goes where her heart takes her and lives in Paris. "In 2017, I began a work on memory entitled In the enchanted family, I ask… It's an introspective attempt to rewrite, reinterpret and reappropriate my personal history and that of my family. At the beginning, the work was essentially photographic, but then the approach naturally migrated towards something more pictorial, on the borderline between photography and painting.It’s this work I’d like to present you."
