Née à Trabzon en 1984. Après son diplôme du lycée des beaux-arts anatolien de Trabzon, elle poursuit ses études au département d'enseignement de la peinture de l'université technique de Karadeniz, qu'elle terminée en 2006. Elle a réalisé cinq expositions personnelles et participé à de nombreuses expositions collectives en Turquie et à l'étranger, notamment au festival international d'art Le Grand Baz'Art en France, à la Biennale internationale d'Istanbul, à Istanbul Modern Antrepo 5 et à la galerie d'art contemporain Beşiktaş. Son œuvre explore la fragilité, les déformations psychologiques et corporelles, ainsi que la psychologie des gestes et des signes du quotidien. Jouant avec les frontières entre les formes humaines, animales et végétales, Elle vit et travaille actuellement à Istanbul

Gamze Duman was born in Trabzon in 1984. After graduating from Trabzon Anatolian High School of Fine Arts, she completed her studies at the Painting Teaching Department of Karadeniz Technical University in 2006. She has held five  solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad, including Le Grand Baz’Art International Art Festival in France, International Istanbul Biennial, Istanbul Modern Antrepo 5, and Beşiktaş Contemporary Art Gallery. Her works focus on fragility, psychological and bodily deformations, and the psychology of everyday gestures and signs. While playing with the boundaries between human, animal, and plant forms, she searches for her own imagery. She currently lives and works in Istanbul.
